T.R.SILAMBARASAN

T.R. Silambarasan (STR) born on February 3, 1984 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He Is a Tamil film actor, director, playback singer and songwriter. He began his acting career doing many minor uncredited roles as a child artist, produced by his father T.Rajendar. He made his debut under his father´s direction in 2002 and has since acted in several films in lead roles.

Osthi

Osthe is an upcoming Tamil action film directed by S. Dharani, starring STR. A remake of the 2010 blockbuster Hindi film Dabangg, directed by Abhinav Singh Kashyap and written by Dileep Shukla, it will feature Githan Ramesh, Richa Gangopadhyay, Sonu Sood, reprising his role from the original, Nassar and Revathi in supporting roles and Soundtrack composed by Thaman. The film is in post-production stage and is set to release on 24 November 2011.

Poda Podi

Podaa Podi is an upcoming Tamil romance - comedy film written and directed by debutant Vignesh Shiva, featuring Str, Shobana and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the lead roles, while Meena Latchman playing a pivotal role. The score and soundtrack of the film are composed by Dharan, while cinematography and editing are handled by Nirav Shah and Anthony Gonsalves, respectively. The film, is currently in its production stage and is expected to release on February 14, 2012.

Vettai Mannan

Vettai Mannan is an upcoming Tamil action film written and directed by debutante director Nelson. The film will feature Str, Jai, Hansika Motwani, Deeksha Seth and Poonam Kaur Starring lead roles. It is produced by S. S. Chakravarthy and features background score and soundtrack composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film is expected to be made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi simultaneously, while casting is still undergoing, with the film expected to release in 2012.

Kettavan

Kettavan is a trilingual upcoming film to be directed by Str, starring the director himself in the lead role and music score by his friend Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film will start rolling by next year.

Vada chennai

Vada Chennai is an upcoming tamil action film to be directed by Vetri Maran and Starring lead role by Str. This film is to be Produced by Dhayanithi Alagiri (Cloud Nine Movies) and features background score and sound tracks to be composed by G.V.Prakash Kumar.

STR in vada chennai Director Vetri Maaran has signed on the Osthe actor for his next

  Ever since Vetri Maaran delivered two hits back-to-back, his third venture has been much anticipated, both by the industry and the audience. Even as he was gearing up to release his Aadukalam, an official announcement was made regarding his next project at the fag end of last year. The director had said he was all set to work on his next project for producer Dhayanidhi Alagiri.
    With speculations rife that he’s cast Simbu and Amala Paul for this project, a well-informed source says, “This project, Vada Chennai, will go on floors from February and Simbu has been cast in the lead. Amala Paul, Tollywood actor Ram and Kishore have been roped in to play important roles. Meanwhile, he’s also eager to restart work on his Desiya Nedunjalai, a project that he worked on with Dhanush.”
    However, all that a non-committal Vetri can say now is, “I will be getting a clear picture on the whole cast and crew in a few days. Amala isn’t in the project yet.”
    Interestingly, Vetri had earlier admitted to CT that Vada Chennai was like the Bible for him. He had said then, “Vada Chennai was supposed to be my first film. It’s a big story and is the Bible for my Polladhavan and Aadukalam. I took notes from the first script to make my other two films.”

The sexy actress has been blown away by STR's amazing dance moves. She praised him to the sky and said that she has never before worked with anyone who can manage to do even the most intricate steps with so much style.
STR has found himself a new fan as Mallika has said that she will be watching all his old movies especially his hit dance routines as he is such a livewire performer. The Kalasala track is already a big hit and the fans are dying to watch it when Osthe is released this month.
