SIMBU TAKES ON SONU!
The Osthe hero and villain are set to reveal their six-pack in the climax being shot now in the outskirts of the city...
In Kollywood, filmmakers usually aim for a grand opening (at the BO) and a grander ending (the climax of their film). And this is exactly what Dharani and Simbu seem to be doing for their Osthe as well. We hear a lot of changes have been made to the script to suit the Tamil audience and keeping in mind Simbu’s image. A huge set has been erected near Chennai, where the unit is shooting their climax sequence now. While the action sequence in the climax was the highlight of the original flick, sources tell us that there are several highlights in the Tamil film climax as well. “The stunt sequences, plus the scene in which Salman and Sonu Sood take off their shirts to reveal their six-packs, were the talking point of the original. Now, Dharani wants to make sure the climax sequence also get talked about. The shooting is likely to go on for about 10 days and only the stunt sequences on Simbu and Sonu Sood will be canned now. There will be bare body sequences featuring both of them and the actors have given it their all to achieve a good physique,” a source reveals.
Simbu had said that it has become inevitable for him to develop a six-pack because he can’t avoid comparisons between him and Salman, at least during the climax scene. “He has followed a strict diet and has been working out a lot. He has lost a lot of weight and looks toned now,” the source adds.

STR to take off his shirt today !
The climax scene is being filmed today in Chennai and STR will be taking off his shirt for this scene. He has been hitting the gym with regularity and his vaunted six pack abs will be on display. The trailer was released this Diwali and the music has also been launched. Both have been well received and Osthi and STR seem ready to rock this November.

Osthi - Kalasal Gaana
Simbu is eagerly awaiting the release of 'Osthi', the Tamil remake of Salman Khan's 'Dabangg'. "It is the first full-fledged commercial movie of mine which is loaded with all necessary hit ingredients," said the actor in a recent interview.

A racy opening on the lines of such numbers in 'Dhil', 'Dhool' and 'Ghilli'. Simbu's 'kuthu' in this number is going to be a highlight.

'Osthi': Dubai bound
The lyrics of this song have been penned by STR and crooned by him as well and expectations on this number are raving quite high since the songs that STR sings in his films are mostly hit numbers.
The song was initially supposed to be canned at Macau however the team opted for Dubai in the end.
It maybe mentioned that 'Osthi' will see an audio launch on October 19 in Chennai. The songs have been tuned in by Thaman and the event is said to happen on a big scale.

The audio will be launched on October 19th in Chennai and all preparations are going on for it. Osthi is the remake of the Hindi flick Dabangg which starred Salman Khan. It has been directed by Dharani.

Silambarasan aka Simbu aka STR, who is playing the lead role in Osthi, a Tamil remake of Salman Khan's Dabangg, is content with the way the film has taken shape.
'It is my fist complete mass entertainer,' he says. The actor however says that he has not imitated the style of Salman, as he wanted to do the role in his own style. 'The body language will be totally different,' he says.
At the same time, Simbu admits that there are some scenes in which he had no other option that to do what Salman did in the original. 'These things you cannot avoid in remakes. But I can say I have tried my best to present the role as unique as possible,' he says.
Revealing more secrets on the film, he says, 'I play a police officer whose name is Osthi Velan. Though he is part of police department, he has his own sets of rules, and does what he thinks the right. How life presents him some interesting twists and turns is Osthi.'
Directed by Dharani, 'Osthi' has Mallika Sherawat shaking legs with Simbu for the Tamil equivalent of 'Munni...' song. 'Shooting with her is a great experience. We became good friends after working together for Osthi and I should say Mallika is a great colleague,' says Simbu.
The film has music by S Thaman. 'Understanding the pulse of the youth, I have tried to give pulsating songs,' he says.
