STR is back after a break in Macau
Now the star is back in Chennai shooting his introductory song for Poda Podi at AVM studio for which he sports a nerd look (see pic) among various other get-up's.
Quiz him about his break and STR smiles and says : “ I needed this well-deserved break after the hectic climax shoot of Osthi. It was not a planned holiday but I just decided to take off with my friend Jai and Nelson, the director of Vettai Mannan to Bangkok and Macau. I was also lucky to attend the Macau Grand Prix, a motor-racing event held annually in Macau”
Macau, as everyone knows is very special to STR as it became a sort of lucky destination for the actor.
After shooting for Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya, the actor took a break at his lucky holiday destination.
STR is now eagerly looking forward for the release of his Osthi which will hit the screens on December 8. The film which has got a clean U certificate is said to be a rollicking entertainer.

'Osthi' from December 8
The release date of 'Osthi' has been finalized at last. The STR starrer directed by Dharani, which is a remake of Bollywood blockbuster 'Dabangg', will hit the screens on December 8.
Earlier it was predicted that the film would compete in Deepavali race along with 'Velayudham', '7aum Arivu' and 'Mayakkam Enna'. But the release of 'Osthi and 'Mayakkam Enna' was delayed to 'unavoidable reasons' which paved way to a claim that the Simbu and Dhanush starrer movies would fight with each other in the last week of November.
With 'Mayakkam Enna' hitting the screens today, it has been officially announced by the producers of 'Osthi' that the movie would see the light of the day on December 8. "Plans are on to release the film in as many screens as possible," sources say.
Produced by T Ramesh under the Balaji Real Media Pvt Ltd banner in association with Reliance Entertainment, 'Osthi' has music by Thaman S and songs have already become a hit. Richa Gangopadhyay is the heroine. The film will be released in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka by Kural TV Creation Pvt Ltd, a firm run by Simbu's family.

Silambarasan takes off with his director
Silambarasan has wrapped up Osthi and after the grueling schedule has decided to go on a break for relaxation. He has flown down to Macau and accompanying him on this trip is Nelson, the director of Vettai Mannan.
Apparently, this is a pleasure-cum-business trip for the young star. While STR has plans to relax he also had Nelson accompany him so that they could discuss Vettai Mannan. With Osthi wrapped up and ready to be released, the star is expected to concentrate in Vettai Mannan which was announced several months ago.

Silambarasan postpones for Dhanush
But STR has put an end to all this speculations. Yes, Osthi’s release has been scheduled for December 2nd and this has been confirmed now. According to STR, he wanted to postpone this film to pave way for Dhanush’s Mayakkam Enna. Dhanush is a close friend and it is not right to compete with him at the box office, STR was reported as saying.

STR keeps Osthi within family
He has procured the distribution rights in the name of Kural TV, which is owned by STR family. Osthi is a remake of the Hindi film Dabangg which has Richa as STR’s leading lady and is directed by Dharani. Thaman has scored the music for the film.

STR set for Jai
released soon. For Vettai Mannan’s climax, a huge set was erected at
the Binny Mills in Chennai some days ago and the shooting with STR took place there.
Now, the same set has been put up there so that the portions with the film’s
other hero Jai could be shot there.
STR, Jai and other cast and crew will be camping in this place later
this month to complete the portions that are left to be shot.

'Osthi' USA release details in here!
This film that is a remake of Bollywood super hit 'Dabangg' will release at the USA during the week of thanksgiving.
This movie that is directed by Dharani has been produced by Balaji Real Media and has music by Thaman. Richa Gangopadhyay plays the female lead whereas Sonu Sood reprises the same role as he did in Hindi. Jithan Ramesh will be seen in a pivotal role whereas comedy relief will be provided by Santhanam, VTV Ganesh in association with Simbu - the hit trio from 'Vaanam'.
Mallika Sherawat is appearing in an item number which is one of the USPs of the film.
